Michelle Carpenter joined our coaching staff in August of 2018. Her love of dance began at RDA, dancing in the Tiny Tot classes at just three years old. She grew up in the RDA studio, competing for several years before transitioning to her local school teams. A resident of Floyds Knobs, Michelle was a varsity member of the Floyd Central Dazzlers for four years, winning four UDA National Titles and the team’s first double title in 2012. She went on to dance in college as a University of Louisville Ladybird. There, Michelle won seven Collegiate NDA National Titles. A part of the “most winning class in Ladybird history,” Michelle double-titled three times, dancing both competition routines all four years. Michelle was also a featured cast-member on Lifetime TV’s So Sharp, a reality series that documented the Ladybird’s journey to nationals during her junior year. Upon graduation, Michelle moved back to Southern Indiana to pursue her masters in Elementary Education. Holding fourteen national titles in all, she hopes to continue her love of dance through teaching.
